On the Road, Who is Your Teacher?

(Scripture reading, Acts 9: 1-20)

Until you learn to look

beyond the surface

You will remain blinded

by reflections of the 

face on the water.

The true teacher cannot teach

Last week was Lindsay’s final Sunday with us, and perhaps we can enter this moment by closing our eyes and sending her a brief silent message of love as she begins her first Sunday of retirement.

For that service she chose the scripture, that for me, is the heart of the Bible. So, before I head into Saul on the road to Damascus, I want to bring it into this space again.
